This current research aimed to investigate the differences in the Big Five personality traits among cancerpatients with varying levels of spiritual well being in Birjand This descriptive analytical study involved40 cancer patients who were divided into two groups based on the Bazarafshan 2013 spiritual wellbeingscale—those with high and low spiritual well being Data were collected using the NEO 5personality questionnaire The results of independent T tests showed significant differences in thefactors of conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism between the two groups According tothese findings, individuals with higher spiritual well being scored higher in conscientiousness andagreeableness, whereas those with lower spiritual well being scored higher in neuroticism Thesedifferences could have significant impacts on individuals’ adaptation to illness and stress management Therefore, it can be concluded that spiritual well being may act as a protective factor in combating thedisease This research offers new insights into the importance of spirituality in the healing andadaptation processes in cancer and suggests that spirituality should be considered in therapeutic andsupport programs
