Using positive psychology for optimal performance and reach the peak of performance in the field of sports has always been considered However, there is not available accurate understanding of some mental experiences such as flow purpose of the present study was psychological analysis of flow state in wrestlers with different skill levels, from amateur to elite The statistical population of the present study consisted of ۵۶ wrestlers in the sixth freestyle and Greco roman wrestling world cup championships ۲۰۲۰ and ۵۶ amateur wrestlers from random different cities of Iran In order to measure the experience of athletes, the Flow State Scale Questionnaire with ۳۶ items and ۹ dimensions based on the ۵ Likert scale was used The results showed that the overall flow score of elite wrestlers was significantly higher than amateur wrestlers Also independent t test indicated among the ۹ dimensions of flow, challenge skills balance, action awareness merging, clear goals, unambiguous feedback, concentration on the task at hand, sense of control, loss of self consciousness, in professional wrestlers was significantly higher than amateur wrestlers Regarding the dimensions of transformation of time and autotelic experience there was no significant difference between professional and amateur wrestlers Further research focus on the flow status of athletes, as a component of psychological factors that is expected to be related to skill level, it can help sports coaches and psychologists to bring athletes to the peak of performance and optimal performance
