This study investigated family school collaboration, focusing on barriers to parental involvement and strategies to improve engagement The aim was to analyze factors influencing family participation in education and identify effective approaches for strengthening school parent partnerships A systematic review was conducted, synthesizing findings from ۱۵ out of ۳۵ peer reviewed studies selected based on predefined criteria, including relevance to the research question, publication in English, and credible sources from ۲۰۱۴ to ۲۰۲۳ Sources retrieved from Google Scholar, Elsevier, and Scopus Data were analyzed using Scaringella & Radziwon's seven stage review process The study examined the impact of socioeconomic status, cultural barriers, educator attitudes, and school policies on parental engagement Findings revealed that socioeconomic disadvantage, limited parental education, and institutional barriers significantly hindered participation, while structured support systems, professional development for educators, and inclusive communication strategies enhanced engagement The research confirmed that effective family school collaboration boosts student academic success and highlighted the need for targeted interventions to address disparities in educational access and participation Future studies should explore policy driven solutions and digital communication tools to further improve engagement This study underscores the importance of fostering inclusive and supportive environments to strengthen family school partnerships
